Coolant Tank with Sensor 200/ZR  

Cooling system did not need to be drained, just syphoned out, and replaced with a new coolant tank. RPCF000160. including warning modules.

Cold Cabin Heater ZR

The heater matrix valve is basically a SAAB C900 unit usually comes supplied with 4 new coolant hoses attached, these cars are now old.

Cooling System K.Series Engine

Coolant elbow In conventional systems, the thermostat is usually located on the outlet from the engine, the K Series is at the rear.

Oil Sump Removal Rover 200

Sump now cleaned, and with new LVF-100290 gasket, ready to go back onto the 200, filled with oil and new oil filter fitted, prior to a run out.

Replacing Ignition Switch ZR 

With column covers removed, gave better access to the 2 small screws that holds ignition switch to barrel. At this stage it can be detached, from the multi-connector.

Tailgate Wiring YMN101940

Wires inside the sleeve constantly fold over each other every time the tailgate is in use, so will fray and eventually break, damaged wires will create electrical problems.

Replacing Sunroof Seal

Sunroof panel tilted, showing one side of the 6 bolts, after removing the two plastic side panel covers, access to remove them can be done with the roof closed.

Purge Valve Location 

Shown located on top of the charcoal canister. The canister is fixed into a metal bracket containing an isolation rubber on the bulkhead, bad condition of the rubber.

Removing Fuel Filter

To release the fuel filter unions a 14mm and 19mm open ended spanners were both used as shown. Then an 8mm spanner for releasing the fuel filter from the bulkhead.

MOT Emissions Testing 2004 ZR

Not all emissions tests are going to be successful, a short and direct drive to the testing station is one of them, engine may be hot, but wont be at its full working temperature.

Precise Oil Level Check 200/ZR

On a 'cold engine' with vehicle on level ground, the tube is inserted into dipstick tube, after a few seconds thumb pressure is then applied to hold a vacuum.

Inlet Manifold Gasket ZR

The 4 x 8mm throttle body bolts were removed, easier and less of a disturbance with accelerator cable still attached, safe and not actually going anywhere.

Cam Carrier Torque 200/ZR

Camshaft's bearing carrier's 26 x 10mm bolts, were then torqued to the shown specific order of 1 to 26 to just 10Nm or 7lb ft. with sealant..
